Heritage Day

On Sunday 2nd December 2018, we held our Heritage Day where we invited people to Knockerra hall to experience some of skills and games of the past. Different areas were set out where you could learn how to sew, knit, make súgán, bake bread, write with ink, thatch a roof, cook on a griddle, make butter, play hop scotch, play road bowling, see tilly lights and the old tractors. We also launched our new parish maps that are now placed at Knockerra Hall, Killimer Church car park and the Ferry. While the weather wasn’t the best, we all enjoyed the day.
